Served in a Mechanised Infantry Battalion and participated in the OPERATION PARAKRAM in 2001-02 in the deserts of the western sector.

Three tenures in Kashmir as part of OPERATION RAKSHAK in various locations. During these he has been a staff officer, and also a team leader in active and intense counter insurgency operations, as part of the ‘Rashtriya Rifles’, in Pulwama, Baramula, Anantnag and Budgam districts. He has been deployed for counter infiltration tasks on the Line of Control in the Kupwara Sector too. ....
